Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal's ex-wife Dhanashree Verma has finally broken the silence on her divorce with the PBKS player. Notably, fingers were raised at the former for breaking the marriage with the cricketer in February 2025 earlier this year. The cricketer also raised eyebrows when he was spotted with T Shirt stating, "Be your own sugar daddy."
This gesture by the PBKS leg spinner set social media on fire, with a lot of fans considering Dhanashree as the villain in their divorce. However, the YouTuber opened up about what went wrong with Chahal in a podcast.

"Divorce is not something to celebrate. It's not a celebration; it's something very sad and deeply emotional. People must not forget that it's not just about the two individuals, but also about families involved - those who genuinely love and care about you," she said on the podcast Spill The Tea.

"I also believe true grief and chaos in a marriage have to be understood and acknowledged by both partners. Marriage begins with love, but when it ends, it often ends in distrust. The day it actually happened was very emotional for me, my family, and I am sure for everyone around us. Even though we were mentally prepared for it, when the verdict was about to be given, I broke down completely. I started howling in front of everyone," she recalled.

Dhanashree criticized about Chahal's choice of t-shirt on the divorce hearing
For the unversed, Chahal set the social media abuzz by sporting T-Shirt on the day of the divorce hearing.
"He walked out first, and that whole t-shirt episode unfolded. I wasn't even aware of it, and at the time, because I was still inside. I left through the back door because I didn't want to face the media. I was just wearing a simple T-shirt and jeans.
"I sat on my car, still trying to catch my breath. Before I even realized what had happened, people began speculating about me because of that stunt. Sitting there, I felt, It's done. It's dusted.

"Somewhere, I did feel bad. Why was I even crying about this? Then I thought, forget it - let's just end this. This moment gave me motivation to laugh and move on. It's over,"she added.
After the divorce, Chahal has been linked-up with RJ Mahvash, while there is no news about Dhanashree. However, she is active on social media, posting about her dance & dance videos.
